Measuring service IC Immunity Measurement Field Coupled Analysis

Short description

The ICIM Field measurement service consists of tests of the conducted interference coupling, in which the respective near fields (RF, ESD, burst) are coupled into the test IC in function by means of separate magnetic and E-field sources. It is a further investigation to the tests according to IEC 62132 (TEM or IC stripline). The measurement results help the developer to make an assessment of the interference phenomena of an IC separately according to the field type.

Test set-up with field source

The following test equipment is available as H- or E-field source:

  • RF coupling up to 3 GHz
  • ESD acc. to DIN EN 61000-4-2 and with a rise time of 200 ps
  • EFT/Burst acc. to DIN EN 61000-4-4

Each of these probes is equipped with a measuring system to determine the exact magnetic or electric field strength during the test.

What is needed from the Customer?
  • Data sheet of the IC
  • Test circuit diagram (in coordination with test engineer)
  • Test firmware with description (in coordination with test engineer)
  • 5 ICs with test firmware
What does the Customer get?
  • 5 test PCBs, assembled/unassembled, depending on the number of test ICs
  • Documentation of the measurement results
  • Test report
