LIN 100 field bus analysis

The LIN 100 has a bi-directional optical transmission range which can be used to observe and document the bus system's behaviour during EMC examinations, for example. Small dimensions and isolated signal transmission via double plastic optical fibre ensure that communication is free from interfering signals and interactions.

The modules support the LIN specification up to a maximum transmission rate of 20 kbit/s. The steepness of the LIN signal can be modified with an adjuster. An internal pull-up resistor can be integrated in the circuit to operate the LIN 100 in the master mode.
