CAN 100 field bus analysis
The CAN 100 has a bi-directional optical transmission range which can be used to observe and document the bus system's behaviour during EMC examinations, for example. Small dimensions and isolated signal transmission via double plastic optical fibre ensure that communication is free from interfering signals and interactions.
The modules support the high-speed CAN up to a maximum transmission rate of 1 Mbit/s. The steepness of the CAN signal can be modified for low transmission rates using a rotary regulator. The bus can be terminated by a 120 Ω resistor via a change-over switch.
