Optical Fibre Probes - analog
Voltage measurement via optical fibre
Non-interactive monitoring of operating voltages and operating points of analogue circuit elements (EUT monitoring) is of essential importance for EMC analysis of subassemblies and devices under the influence of RF, burst and ESD.
A measuring system consisting of a small sensor with serial ADC, which is fed via the EUT's power supply and the conversion result of which is coupled out via synthetic optical fibre, guarantees non-interactive monitoring. An optical receiver with a serial DAC converts the digitally transmitted signal into analogue voltage values which can be evaluated at an oscilloscope or voltage meter.
