Burst Detectors

The burst detectors are attached to cable or conductor bundles and monitor the supply lines of an electronic device or control cabinet. They selectively detect disturbance quantities which would also affect the device to be monitored and send a light signal via the optical fibre when the disturbance threshold is exceeded. This signal is converted into a TTL signal by an optical receiver (OE-110 receiver) or used to activate a potential-free contact. It can be recorded by measuring devices (recorder, oscilloscope, counter), displayed by an indicating device or fed to a technical control facility for processing (indicating, recording, process intervention).
The coupling can be adjusted on the burst detector to ensure its adaptation to the device's EMC characteristics. The detectors are attached to cables, lines, cable harnesses, cable ducts, earth lines or structural parts with cable ties.

BD 06 B detects the magnetic pulse field of a burst or ESD disturbance event. The probe has a high sensitivity. The small size allows it to be inserted into cable ducts or connected to cable harnesses.

BD 01 B detects the magnetic pulse field of a burst or ESD disturbance event. Due to its compact design the detector can be mounted in confined spaces in cable ducts, equipment housings or control cabinets.

BD 01 E detects the electric field of a burst or ESD disturbance event. Due to its compact design the detector can be mounted in confined spaces in cable ducts, equipment housings or control cabinets.

BD 11 detects the magnetic field of a burst or ESD current pulse. It is guided by hand or attached to the cable to be monitored. The BD 11 is battery-operated, can be set to a very high sensitivity and contains a memory. Disturbance pulses are displayed by an LED and output via a relay output (potential-free) or an optical fibre connection.
