PT4 Burst Transformer
The PT4 burst transformer is used for pre-compliance disturbance immunity tests. The PT4 provides potential-free burst pulses in connection with a burst generator according to EN 6100-4-4. Disturbance current can be passed section-by-section through the EUT and thus the fault location pin-pointed. Both PT4 outputs are capacitively decoupled. It is thus possible, for example, to couple disturbance current in via Vcc and out via GND. Damping elements in the connecting cable substantially suppress high-frequency common-mode currents from the generator to the EUT. Furthermore, signals can be measured under the influence of the disturbance and thus the causes of functional faults identified.
